Been wanting to go Bass Fishing my whole life on Okeechobee. I am glad we found Mark. Top notch equiptment and he put us right on the fish. Have fished with Mark on both lakes Okeechobee and Erie. Mark knows where the fish are and what they are hitting. Never caught so many fish in one day (100 in 8 hrs 4 people) as we did on Erie.

Went out with Mark 2 days in row and just crushed em’. Mark put us right on the hot spots.Several times I had noticed we were the only boat out there cranking them in. I have now fished 3 times with Mark in Presque Bay. All I can say is WOW!! We caught 60 on my first trip with my biggest 5 lb. 11 oz. Did a 2 day with him this year and OMG–Caught 91 the first day and 108 the 2nd with biggest being 5 lb 4 oz. got a blister on my hand from reeling in all the giant smallmouth, and a 6+ (which unfortunately got off) broke my new $179.00 Skeet Reese reel. Mark knows his stuff and has great equipment to go along with his vast knowledge of that area. He will definitely put you on big numbers of big fish. We fish with Mark on Saturday best day fishing ever and I have fish a lot of places with a lot of guides no one has put me on bigger and better bass or fish for a matter of fact than he did had so much fun I’m sending my 17 year old son and he’s friend out this Thursday to see if he can keep up with his old man. My brother and I fished Erie with Mark last weekend. The wind seemed to be the biggest problem for us which is no fault of Mark’s. Even though we had to contend with that, Mark was still able to put us on the bite and my brother was able to catch his largest smallmouth to date. We fished both in the bay, on the lake, deep, beds, you name it. Mark knows this fishery well and can definitely put you where the fish are. Thank you Mark!

mark picked us up at portersville. when we got to erie he was prepared and we were on the water and fishing in minutes. he put us on fish immediately. during the course of the day he knew what adjustments to make to keep the bite hot. my buddy jim and i are experienced anglers and we agreed we had never came smallies as big mark did everything possible to make our trip memorable. thanks mark! bob forster and jimmy lally

Hey Mark,
I make weedless shiner hooks and am sending trial samples . And I use heavier wire for the weed guard than others on the market and also attach the guard in a way that makes them very durable. I have fished with shiners for 45 years and honestly believe these hooks are the best made for bait fishing in cover.

My wife and I recently took a trip out to Lake Okeechobee with Mark Rose and got everything we were looking for! Mark was extremely knowledgeable and informative on fishing tips, and he supported his side by putting us onto big fish! We hit several spots throughout the day hunting down the bass based off of water current changes, clarity, temps etc…and it never failed that wherever he took us next had more bass! What made the trip even more enjoyable was the fact that Mark was very personable and my wife and I enjoyed his company. Went out with mark for two half-day trips. Fishing on Lake Okeechobee for bass was part of our bucket list. We had a great time and Mark put us onthe fish. Tons of fish and a lot of fun. Would highly recommend the trip.

Three of us fished with Mark on 3/6. Started off with shiners and nailed a 6.1 and a 7.1 in the first couple of hours, along with several 2-4 pound fish. Switched to plastics and enjoyed a lot of action in the flats. We were worried about 3 fisherman in boat along with guide, but Mark was professional and the boat and equipment were perfect for a great time!

Just spent a FABULOUS day on the water with Mark. My husband and I are both avid anglers and were thrilled with Mark, his knowledge of the fish and the lake as well as his boat and equipment. We both caught lots of good size bass, some on shiners, others on plastic. We would highly recommend Mark and look forward to heading out with him for another awesome day on the water. Thanks Mark for a great day of fishing on Lake O on Tuesday. The day after a cold front where the water temp dropped 10+ degrees. The fishing was tough, but Mark put us on fish! Boats all around and we were the only ones bringing them in. Can’t wait to do it again!

Fished a cold day in Presque Isle Bay for 8 hrs and caught around 60 smallmouth bass and one perch. Mark was a complete professional and his wealth of knowledge on fishing was amazing. We caught so many fish on jerk baits that it felt like our arms were falling at the end of the day. We caught several over 5lbs that ripped the rod out of our hands. Top of the line equipment and one kick ass Brand new Ranger bass boat. We will be planning another trip in the coming weeks for the spawn.

Once again, Mark didn’t disappoint. Had another awesome trip,catching over 60 smallmouth on jerk baits biggest over 5 lbs. This was my 3rd trip with Mark, and I can’t wait for number 4!

Once again Mark came through big. On a cold windy day when nobody was catching fish Mark put on Smallies on lake Erie and we caught a bunch. As usual Mark worked his tail off to show us a successful day on the lake.

If you are contemplating a trip to fish for bass at Presque Isle, there is really only one guide to contact: Mark Rose. He put us on both the green and brown fish with our trip culminating in an epic top water sunset that had us boat well over 40 fish in an hour and a half! Thank you again Mark and tight lines!

My grandpa and I had a blast fishing with mark on lake Erie. Caught between 40 and 50 fish;all of them being good fish. If you want to go out and catch big fish all day long then book a trip with mark. This is our second trip with mark and we will definitely be coming back again. Thanks for the great time!

Went fishing with mark on Lake Erie in July for the first time. We got out on the water in no time and we’re talking about what to do some showers came through the night before and brought a wind along with it. In no time at all mark took me into a weed flat where we would start the day. Tied the first bait on then he changed him mind and Brooke out a different one my first cast of the trip landed a pretty nice largemouth.

I was pumped knowing that I chose the right guy to go fishing with. The second cast I had another nice one on but it got off. Then we decided to head to the lake only to fish the canal on the way out. Never caught so many drum as I did in that canal but man was it fun hearing that drag pull. I wasn’t so sure that I wanted to leave that spot. But the reason I was on the trip was to go catch some big small mouth bass. He had all the baits tied up and ready to roll when we hit the main lake. We fished for a while with only a couple missed chances when we finally got into some gorgeous smallmouth that I made the trip for. It was an amazing day on the water.

Couldn’t have picked a better guide to take me out. One that really knows his stuff and will make the trip enjoyable for you. Lots of laughs on the boat today felt just like fishing with a good buddy. After this trip I hope to become buddies with mark and go on many more trips with him. Will definitely be heading down to Florida to fish with him in the future. A couple more trips to Lake Erie will be needed also. I can’t thank him enough for an amazing trip.
