I’m not just a fishing guide—I’m a seasoned angler with over 20 years of experience, and I’m dedicated to creating unforgettable fishing adventures for every guest. As a seasonal guide, I follow the fish, spending the warmer months on Lake Erie targeting monster smallmouth bass. During the winter, I head south to Florida, guiding anglers on Lake Okeechobee for trophy largemouth bass and exploring the vibrant waters of the Florida Everglades for both largemouth and exotic peacock bass. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a passion for fishing that he loves to share with others.

Captain Mark Rose

Born and raised in Fombell, Pennsylvania, just outside of Pittsburgh, I’ve had a fishing rod in hand since I was 11 years old. Over the years, that passion has grown into a full-time guiding career on two of America’s premier bass fishing destinations: Lake Erie and Lake Okeechobee.

With a friendly personality, top-of-the-line equipment, and deep knowledge of both northern smallmouth and southern largemouth and peacock bass, I deliver exceptional experiences every season. From May through Novemeber, join me in Pennsylvania for smallmouth action. Come winter, December – April follow the sun to Florida for the ultimate warm-weather bass adventure.

   As a life long MD angler I’m no stranger to smallmouth but what Capt. Mark Rose put us on those two days was INSANE. 100+ fish in two days (12 hours) and 20+ over 5 pounds. Mark knows the lake and the fish like the back of his hand. If you’re thinking about going do it, it will be the time if your lives!

   Mark Rose has an uncanny understanding of the smallmouth bass on Lake Erie. His boat is unique as its a big water Ranger that is suited perfectly for the big rollers that appear anytime the winds pick up out on the lake. When others can't get to them, Captain Mark does. If you are looking for a charter based out of Erie's Presque Isle Bay, there's only one phone number to call, as Mark will generate some memories for you that you won't soon forget!    This is a great company and Captain Mark Rose is an AMAZING Captain! I went out with him on his boat and was instantly on fish! Mark was great about helping me even though I’m a novice fisherman!    Having fished my whole life I always have high expectations when picking a guide. I did my homework and got lucky finding Mark. He is by far the best most dedicated professional guide you will find. Having got to know Mark over the yrs he's a great captain and extremely knowledgeable, he has the best equipment and boat on the lake, he will put you on fish. Erie pa is known for huge Smallmouths and my passion as well . He has put me on many 5lb plus and my personal best 6.25. Don't hesitate if your serious about going on a great trip.
