Captain Mark had the pleasure of fishing with Jim, Graydon, and Lucio this summer. They were traveling to Erie, PA to come catch some quality smallmouth bass. Summer time is a perfect time to come catch bass throwing artificial baits on Lake Erie. They spent two days fishing Lake Erie.
The days started out with jerk baits early in the morning. After catching multiple bass and the sun rising, a switch to drop shots and swimming grubs were necessary. This amazing group ended up catching 75 smallmouth bass in their 2 days on Lake Erie. They also caught some bonus largemouth bass in the mix.
Captain Mark is looking forward to fishing with Jim, Graydon and Lucio again in the future. They had a great time on the water and are looking to come back soon to cash in for more action out of Presque Isle Bay.
It was not long after this fishing charter that Shannon, Brian and Barb explored what Lake Erie had to offer. They were traveling from the Pittsburgh area. It was going to be their first time fishing for smallmouth bass and their first time getting to experience Lake Erie.
As the summer months heat things up, fishing can get a little tougher. Experience will be the only determining factor in producing a great bite. You have to know where the bass are moving to during these warmer months. Shannon, Brian and Barb caught smallmouth bass on both drop shots and grubs in some deeper water. It was awesome to see them catch both smallmouth and largemouth bass.
Family Smallmouth Bass Fishing was new to them but will now be an outdoor activity they will continue to pursue. Once you get hooked on some nice bass, you will forever be searching for the next big bite. Captain Mark is looking forward to fishing with them again in the future.
