They were looking to tangle with some big smallmouth bass. Lake Erie did not disappoint them and produced an excellent day on the water. Conditions were great for bass fishing which always helps.

Cooler weather and water temperatures have stirred up the action. Smallmouth bass love the cooler temperatures. They become more active and in a stable feeding pattern during these times. Presque Isle Bay on Lake Erie is a great place to come and experience smallmouth bass fishing. Most of the bass were between 8-20 feet of water. You can catch most of them in locations from the cribs to the hammermill stacks.

John and Braden caught several quality smallmouth bass. The biggest bass weighed in at 5.5 pounds. Many also came in the 4 pound range. They were ecstatic to land the big bass they did. If you are looking to catch some smallmouth bass this fall, Lake Erie is the destination you want to fish.

Matt and his son adventured out Bass Fishing Lake Erie with Captain Mark. Their main focus was to land several quality smallmouth bass. One of the great things about this fishing trip was that they got to see different parts of Lake Erie. They traveled 11 miles northeast of Presque Isle Bay where the bass were biting.

It wasn’t long after pulling up to the spot that we started landing fish. Matt and his son caught some nice smallmouth bass. Most of the bass were in the range of 3-4 pounds. Matt’s son caught one of the biggest weighing up to 4 pounds. All the bass were caught on artificial baits on this fishing charter. The bass were on the bottom and ate mainly drop shots and ned rigs. These late summer months called for dark baits in around 15-22 feet of water.

Matt and his son are looking forward to coming back and getting hooked up on another smallmouth bass fishing adventure. They had a great time with Captain Mark Rose. You can’t beat the upcoming months and the chance to catch some quality smallmouth bass.

Captain Mark had the pleasure of fishing with Abby and Derek while they were visiting Pennsylvania. You never know what to expect when you adventure out on Lake Erie. They went out on an early morning fishing trip in search for a top water bite to remember. Summer months will raise smallmouth bass early in the morning and drop them further into cooler waters during the day.

Abby and Derek had an absolute blast fishing for smallmouth bass with Captain Mark Rose. They caught 50 plus bass throughout their trip. Several of those bass came on top water walking baits along with grubs and senkos. Soft plastics are essential when fishing for smallmouth bass. Make sure you always have a selection when adventuring out!

Shortly after this awesome fishing trip, Captain Mark went out on a two day fishing adventure. Gary and his friends were traveling from the Carolinas looking to hook into some smallmouth bass during these summer months. Two days of action got the job done.
These summer months are getting hot and pushing the smallmouth bass deep in the water column. Gary and his friends caught 20 smallmouth bass on both days of fish with the biggest bass weighing in at 4.75 pounds. They were really excited to catch a big bass and Captain Mark got it done for them.

Drop shot is a very effective method while Bass Fishing Lake Erie. This was their first time catching bass on drop shot and it came on Gary’s first cast. These gentlemen caught bass everywhere on the lake from Shades beach to the Ws. Along with catching the bass on drop shot, tubes and ned rigs were also very productive.

Gary and his friends had a blast and are looking forward to the next time they Visit Erie!

Summer months are the best time to take your family away for a vacation. It is always nice to take advantage of the warm sunny days that are here during the summer. Captain Mark had the pleasure of fishing with Jim, Graydon, and Lucio this summer. They were traveling to Erie, PA to come catch some quality smallmouth bass. Summer time is a perfect time to come catch bass throwing artificial baits on Lake Erie. They spent two days fishing Lake Erie.

The days started out with jerk baits early in the morning. After catching multiple bass and the sun rising, a switch to drop shots and swimming grubs were necessary. This amazing group ended up catching 75 smallmouth bass in their 2 days on Lake Erie. They also caught some bonus largemouth bass in the mix.

Captain Mark is looking forward to fishing with Jim, Graydon and Lucio again in the future. They had a great time on the water and are looking to come back soon to cash in for more action out of Presque Isle Bay.

It was not long after this fishing charter that Shannon, Brian and Barb explored what Lake Erie had to offer. They were traveling from the Pittsburgh area. It was going to be their first time fishing for smallmouth bass and their first time getting to experience Lake Erie.

As the summer months heat things up, fishing can get a little tougher. Experience will be the only determining factor in producing a great bite. You have to know where the bass are moving to during these warmer months. Shannon, Brian and Barb caught smallmouth bass on both drop shots and grubs in some deeper water. It was awesome to see them catch both smallmouth and largemouth bass.

Family Smallmouth Bass Fishing was new to them but will now be an outdoor activity they will continue to pursue. Once you get hooked on some nice bass, you will forever be searching for the next big bite. Captain Mark is looking forward to fishing with them again in the future.

Summer time is a great opportunity to catch bass across the nation. One location that is producing really well is Lake Erie in Pennsylvania. Capt Mark Rose has been fishing this lake for many years. Bass Fishing Lake Erie is by far some of the most exciting fishing you can partake in this summer.

Captain Mark had the pleasure of fishing on multiple trips this June. Craig and Mike were traveling from Pittsburgh, PA to catch smallmouth bass. They just moved from Traverse City and wanted to see what they could get themselves into on Lake Erie. This was going to be their first time adventuring out on this amazing fishery.

One of their requests was a 6 pound smallmouth. Lake Erie was so close to producing what they wanted. It was a quick 4 hour fishing trip where they landed a 5.91 pound smallmouth bass. Nothing beats fishing a Lake for the first time and landing your personal best. Tubes, drop shots, jerk baits and steel shad lures were all highly effective to catching the quality numbers and size.

Captain Mark is looking forward to fishing with these amazing gentlemen again in the future!

It was not long after this great time on the water that Taylor and Zack came out fishing on Lake Erie. They were traveling from Alabama, looking for an epic adventure on Lake Erie. This was a first time for Taylor. Taylor and Zack fished the lake for three days and enjoyed every minute.

When you come smallmouth bass fishing in Pennsylvania, expect incredible days on the water. The weather was perfect for an adventure to catch some big brown bass. Over the course of their trip, they caught over 100 smallmouth bass. Taylor caught his personal best weighing 5.5 pounds. Zack also caught a huge smallmouth weighing 6 pounds measuring in at 21 inches long and 15 inches in girth.

The lake and bay were all productive areas. Tubes, drop shot, jerk baits, spinner baits, shaky heads and senkos were all baits that put bass in the boat. Zack and Taylor had a fantastic time experiencing what Lake Erie had to offer them. Don’t miss out on your action to come visit Lake Erie next time visiting!

Shortly after those incredible days fishing, Gary and Ben were looking to set the hook into some quality smallmouth bass. Presque Isle Bay is the perfect destination for those traveling and looking for excellent bass fishing. Gary and Ben never fished with us here at Bass Online or on Lake Erie for smallmouth bass. They have been all over to catch different species but not the hard fighting smallmouth!

Captain Mark put his focus main inside Presque Isle Bay staying and fishing in the depth ranges of 3-8 foot of water. Water temperatures were holding at 65 degrees. Senkos, tubes, drop shots, swim baits and Galidas grubs were all baits that produced an excellent bite. Gary and Ben landed 35 bass with the biggest weighing 4.5 pounds.

These gentlemen are looking forward to get back on the action next time they are traveling to Erie, Pennsylvania.
